On July 20^th, 2023, Petro Poughkeepsie team members, Kristen Barone, Alisha Marie Bedell, Marissa Cerchia, JT Grodecki, Anita Johnson, Chris Langanke, Brianna McCoy and Danielle Reynolds joined Habitat for Humanity and other volunteers at a home refurbishment in Dover Plains, NY to help remove a temporary handicap ramp installed to support a previous resident.

Once that project was completed, the crew built and installed new stairs in the Habitat for Humanity home. Everyone also had fun putting in a ramp for the new homeowner’s dog, who has an aversion to stairs! In addition to the carpentry and installation, the team also tackled landscaping, by mowing, weed whacking, pruning, trimming and raking the yard as it was significantly overgrown in front of the home.

On a warm summer’s day, it was the perfect way to have lots of fun while doing something good for neighbors in the community.
