Fueling the way forward to favorably impact climate change.
Since April is when we celebrate Earth Day, it seems an appropriate time to share some of the efforts that Petro Home Services is undertaking to mitigate climate change over the past year:
- Delivering over 177 million gallons of cleaner, renewable Bioheat® Fuel to customers throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic, helping reduce carbon emissions by 222,896 metric tons. That’s equivalent to 2,449 roundtrip flights from New York City to London or removing/offsetting carbon emissions of 44,579 vehicles a year!
- Installing the latest, EnergyStar® rated HVAC systems and technologies in customers’ homes including, variable speed air handlers and furnaces that adjust speeds to meet heating or cooling demands more efficiently than traditional single-speed models, ductless mini-split systems that target heating and cooling in specific areas of the home to reduce energy waste to heat or cool unused rooms, AC systems that provide better energy efficiency during cooling operations, smart thermostats that optimize HVAC system performance by learning customer preferences and adjusting settings accordingly for better energy savings.
- Offering customers the latest and best EnergyStar® rated HVAC systems and products that feature high standards for SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio), HSPF (Heating Seasonal Performance Factor), or AFUE (Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency) ratings for optimal energy efficiency.
- Helping customers take advantage of state tax incentives and rebates for installing more energy-efficient HVAC systems.
- To save a tree or two, we are also driving customers to paperless billing options with smart online account management tools and technologies.
- Partnering with national, state and local initiatives, achieving important milestones in our goal of reducing carbon emissions to ‘net-zero’ by 2050.
Climate change is one of our biggest challenges and we would like you to know that Petro Home Services is committed to being part of its solution! Doing so is better for us, our industry, our customers and most importantly, better for the beautiful planet we call home.
