Building homes for Boston families in need.

On May 7th, 2019 the Petro team in Boston had the pleasure of teaming up with Greater Boston’s Habitat for Humanity team to assist in a group build at Balina Place, which will eventually become future homes for three local families.

Our Petro team of 10 volunteers. through hard work and teamwork with many other local volunteers, completed their assigned projects ahead of schedule for a very successful build day. A huge thank you to everyone who volunteered to help with this wonderful initiative.

One of the families who will move into a home in Balina Place, are the Rosa-Gomes family who are looking forward to having a great new space for their growing family to thrive.

We appreciate everyone on the Petro and Habitat for Humanity teams, along with other volunteers, who generously gave their time to support the community and neighbors in need.

About Habitat for Humanity
Driven by the vision that everyone needs a decent place to live, Habitat for Humanity began in 1976 as a grassroots effort on a community farm in southern Georgia. The Christian housing organization has since grown to become a leading global nonprofit working in local communities across all 50 states in the U.S. and in more than 70 countries. Families and individuals in need of a hand up partner with Habitat for Humanity to build or improve a place they can call home. Habitat homeowners help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage. Through financial support, volunteering or adding a voice to support affordable housing, everyone can help families achieve the strength, stability and self-reliance they need to build better lives for themselves. Through shelter, we empower. To learn more, visit habitat.org.
